“We are pressed on every side by troubles, but not crushed and broken. We are perplexed because we don’t know why things happen as they do but we don’t give up and quit. We are hunted down, but God never abandons us. We get knocked down, but we get up again and keep going. These bodies of ours are constantly facing death just as Jesus did; so, it is clear to all that it is only the living Christ within who keeps us safe.” II Corinthians 4:8-10
Be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might! God is for you no matter what is going on around you. He is using all things to propel us forward in our call. We are soldiers on the field, and we can’t get distracted from the mission by pain, heartache or fear. Hold the Word close, keep it memorized in your mind, ponder it in your heart and Holy Spirit will pull up what you need, when you need it to bring you comfort, hope, peace or direction. He will never leave nor forsake you; our God is faithful. Keep your eyes on the prize…
PRAYER: Lord, help me to not get distracted or knocked off course by things that occur in this world, or by people who behave so nasty. I know in my heart that You are always with me, and I appreciate that. Help me to be strong and to show others how to walk with You. Let my life shout peace and purpose and may the call of God sustain me. In Jesus’ name, amen. |
