“Look! I have been standing at the door, and I am constantly knocking. If anyone hears me calling him and opens the door, I will come in and fellowship with him and he with Me. I will let everyone who conquers sit beside Me on My throne, just as I took My place with My Father on His throne when I had conquered. Let those who can hear listen to what the Spirit is saying to the churches.” Revelation 3:20-22
Jesus is encouraging us to come back to the fire and passion. In the verses above these, He is talking to the lukewarm. He tells those who are satisfied with this world and its system they are not okay spiritually. While they feel all is well, He says they are blind, naked, poor and miserable and don’t even realize it. Jesus tells them He issues correction in hopes of prodding us out of our indifference. Jesus says He is knocking at our heart’s door. If we will just open up and get real, He will visit with us and enable us to conquer this world and the desires of our flesh just like He did through the power of Holy Spirit. C’mon, God loves us so much. He is worthy of our time and effort.
PRAYER: Father, draw me and teach me everything about You and Your kingdom. I want so badly to know You on every level and to be able to share my experiences with You with those I meet. Keep me from deception Lord. Open my eyes, change my desires and correct what needs to be straightened. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen. |
