Deuteronomy 21:1-22:30; Psalm 74:1-23; Proverbs 12:11; Luke 9:51-10:12
“After this the Lord appointed 70 others and sent them ahead of Him in pairs in every town and place where He Himself was about to go.” (Luke 10:1)
We can learn some great principles from Jesus. First, always recruit people to help you with your vision. Remember, the more people you train and send out the more ground you will cover. Second, Jesus sent them out two by two. Two are better than one. One encourages the other, there is strength in unity. Last, Jesus told them not to worry about a money bag, sandals or greeting anyone along the road. He is teaching us to stay focused on the work at hand. When He assigns us to something, we need to stay on task, and everything will work out.
PRAYER:
Lord, I ask You to speak to my heart concerning Your assignment for my life. Lord, here I am, send me. Your kingdom come, Your will be done. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen |
