Numbers 33:40-35:34; Luke 5:12-28; Psalm 65:1-13; Proverbs 11:23
“Just then some men came, carrying on a stretcher a man who was paralyzed. They tried to bring him in and set him down before Him. Since they could not find a way to bring him in because of the crowd, they went up on the roof and lowered him on the stretcher through the roof tiles into the middle of the crowd of Jesus. Seeing their faith he said, ‘Friend, your sins are forgiven you.'” (Luke 5:18-20)
Never underestimate your power as a friend to a person enduring struggle. When this man couldn’t do for himself, his friends rose to the occasion to help their pal. If you see a friend in a position that’s hindering them from getting to God or even being able to function normally in life, it would be a great thing to step up to the plate for them. God is obviously touched by the actions and faith of “tile tearing” friends. Pray for them, get them to church where they can fellowship and get the Word that will set them free, and don’t be afraid to take action that you know will bring healing to them…even if what you have to say or do may seem drastic in order to move them forward. “Faithful are the wounds of a friend.” (Proverbs 27:6)
PRAYER:
Lord, help me to love those who You have placed in my life. Teach me how to do my part to meet their needs through You. Give me wisdom and discernment, give me a word in due season for any friend that is in need. In the name of Jesus I pray, amen.
