Exodus 30:11-31:1-18; Matthew 26:47-68; Psalm 32:1-11; Proverbs 8:27-32
“When He prepared the heavens, I was there: when He set a compass upon the face of the depth: when He established the clouds above: when He strengthened the fountains of the deep: when He gave to the sea His decree that the waters should not pass His commandment: when He appointed the foundations of the earth. Then I was by Him, as one brought up with Him and I was daily His delight, rejoicing always before Him.” (Proverbs 8:27-30)
Think about wisdom and how important it is to us. The Bible teaches us that wisdom was with God from the beginning. In all His creation wisdom was God’s delight, rejoicing always before Him. Wisdom is seen as a companion to a builder. Wisdom is also seen as a ruler and sustainer of what God has built. (Proverbs 9:1-12) Wisdom builds a house, plans a party, sends out maids to invite guest to the feast. So what can we learn? Wisdom builds and does not tear down, wisdom is creative, wisdom is a sculptress, butcher and a gracious hostess.
Now we must take a look at our own lives and ask, “Is wisdom with me or not? Do I build or tear down? Am I productive? Am I utilizing my gifts and talents in a most efficient way? Am I allowing my creativity to flow?
PRAYER:
Lord I pray You will send Your wisdom into my heart and life. Help me to always be a builder, a servant who loves and cares for people, a person who knows the value of time and utilizes it to the fullest. Holy Spirit, I ask You to lead and guide me in all of Your ways. I pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen. |
