“From a wise mind comes careful and persuasive speech.” Proverbs 16:23
Do you fly off with whatever comes to mind? Do you feel like you have to manipulate others?
The older I get, the more I want to be wise. I used to have to make my point. I used to need to speak my mind and share my opinion. I used to want to be right at the expense of others. Today, Holy Spirit is using my past and my present to reign in my attitude and hone my perspective. Wisdom causes us to slow down, to be more cautious in the way we approach situations and to allow Holy Spirit to lead us. He has more of an ability to reach people and to provide real solutions through us if we will follow His lead.
PRAYER: Lord, I ask You to help me to depend on You and to listen to Your voice as I seek to resolve conflict, or give direction, or issue an opinion. I need You because I long to make a difference. I truly believe You have a better way. Love You – amen.
