I Kings 15:25-17:24, Acts 10:24-48, Psalm 134:1-3, Proverbs 17:9-11
“‘Drink from the brook and eat what the ravens bring you, for I have commanded them to feed you.’ So, he did as the Lord had told him to and camped beside the brook. The ravens brought him bread and meat each morning and evening, and he drank from the brook. But after a while the brook dried up, for there was no rainfall anywhere in the land. Then the Lord said to him, ‘Go and live in the village of Zarephath, near the city of Sidon. There is a widow there who will feed you. I have given her my instructions.” I Kings 17:4-9
God will always take care of His people. Sometimes it may seem scary because He may send us one way and it works for a minute then the brook dries up?! It’s okay though because He has a widow around the corner. God hardly does anything the same way for too very long because things in this life are always changing, what works today may not in six months. God’s got you! He sees around the corner and already has something lined out just be prepared to listen and follow instructions. I like to call these times “faith builders!”
PRAYER: Lord, help me in those times when things are changing and my faith is shaking. Open my eyes to see that You are always present and I do not need to be afraid. If you can feed a man with wild animals, and if You are able to multiply food to feed many, then You are fully capable of seeing and providing for my needs. My heart does safely trust in You. I believe in You. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.
