II Kings 1:1-2:25, Acts 13:42-14:7, Psalm 139:1-24, Proverbs 17:19-21
“O Lord, You have examined my heart and know everything about me. You know when I sit or stand. When far away You know my every thought. You chart the path ahead of me and tell me where to stop and rest. Every moment You know where I am. You know what I am going to say before I even say it. You both precede and follow me and place Your hand of blessing on my head. This is too wonderful to believe! I can never be lost to Your Spirit! I can never get away from my God!” Psalm 139:1-7
This is probably my favorite Psalm. It always gives me great comfort to be reminded that God is with me, and how much God loves me despite knowing everything about me, the good, the bad and the ugly. Can you imagine that. I mean, we can put on a face for people but God sees straight through to the thoughts and intents of our hearts. WOW! Always try to practice the presence of God because whether you “practice” or not, He is there. Just think about that…
PRAYER: I thank You for Your love. I thank You that You not only go before me, You are my rear guard. You totally surround me with Your protection. Your precious hand blesses me! Me, why me? I am not worthy Lord, but love isn’t a “worthy” kind of thing. I have never done one thing that could sufficiently earn the love and mercy You have shown toward me. I cannot thank You enough or love You enough, or express to You enough my gratitude and the humility I feel when I think of all You have done for me and all that You are to me. I give You honor, praise and love from the depths of my heart. It is all about You Lord, amen.
