A man’s courage can sustain his broken body, but when courage dies, what hope is left.” Proverbs 18:14
When God strengthens our spirit, we are able to endure anything for any length of time, but if we turn our eyes from God and begin to look inward our strength begins to fail. Our minds have a tendency to run wild with suppositions and negative thinking if we don’t keep them governed by Holy Spirit. Once we pull from God and we stop the fight for healing in our mind and body, there is no power left to sustain us. Keep your eyes on Jesus the author and finisher of your faith. You will get through anything if you can just remember that. If your mind begins to drift to negative thoughts center it with His Word.
PRAYER: Lord, no one can a endure a broken spirit. I am asking that You help me to keep my focus on You instead of the things of this world. You are my peace and my purpose. I can do all things through You. You have ordered my steps and entrusted me with this life. My heart safely trusts in You. Amen.
