Miracle Moment

I Chronicles 26:12-27:34, Romans 4:13-5:5, Psalm 14:1-7, Proverbs 19:17

“We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they are good for us-they help us learn to be patient. And patience develops strength of character in us and helps us trust God more each time we use it until finally our hope and faith are strong and steady. Then, when that happens, we are able to hold our heads high no matter what happens and know that all is well, for we know how dearly God loves us, and we feel this warm love everywhere within us because God has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with His love.” Romans 5:3-5

Sometimes when we go through hard times, we may feel like God is angry with us, or He has forgotten about us because He doesn’t really care. Our reading today goes through great pangs to reveal the heart and love of God. The writer is trying to relay that just because we walk through hardships, it doesn’t mean we have been abandoned. When we realize that God is still with us and He is allowing everything for a purpose, we can relax and let it do what it do. Problems and trials give us depth that we wouldn’t gain any other way. While we all love to live high up on the hill of happiness, growth will never come without the challenges of the valley. A muscle never gets strong without resistance and strain. Be at peace, God still loves you and He promised to never leave or forsake us.

PRAYER: Lord, help me to remember that I am not alone. Remind me of Your promises and bring to my mind all of the scriptures like this one that will give me truth and keep me from self-pity. I choose to grow and go, in the name of Jesus! Amen.
