II Chronicles 26:1-28:27, Romans 13:1-14, Psalm 23:1-6, Proverbs 20:11
“Pay all your debts except the debt of love for others – never finish paying that! For if you love them, you will be obeying all of God’s laws, fulfilling all His requirements. If you love your neighbor as much as you love yourself you will not want to harm or cheat him, or kill him or steal from him. And you won’t sin with his wife or want what is his, or do anything else the Ten Commandments say is wrong. All ten are wrapped up in this one, to love your neighbor as you love yourself. Love does no wrong to anyone. That’s why it fully satisfies all of God’s requirements. It is the only law you need.” Romans 13:8-10
HEY! How awesome is that, right?! I mean, we don’t have to worry about keeping up with a list of what God considers wrong. All we have to do is use common sense. Ask yourself, “Will this hurt another person if I do it?” And that’s your answer as to whether you should pursue it or not. There are no victimless crimes in life so if what we want to do will cause pain to someone else, leave it alone.
PRAYER: Lord, thank You so much for the simplicity of Your plan. Help me to not make it more difficult than it has to be. Give me a desire to do what is right by You and those around me. It is not my heart to hurt or infringe on anyone else. Give me big love in my heart for people, all people. Love you Lord, amen.
