Ezra 10:1-44, I Corinthians 6:1-20, Psalm 31:9-18, Proverbs 21:3
“Haven’t you yet learned that your body is the home of the Holy Spirit God gave you? Your own body does not belong to you. For God has bought you with a great price. So, use every part of your body to give glory back to God because He owns it.” I Corinthians 6:19-20
Paul has been speaking in this chapter about eating too much, sexual sin and the like and how it effects our body and soul. He reminds us to practice the Presence of God. If we are fully aware that Holy Spirit dwells within us, it will be easier to resist sin. Realize that when we receive Christ, we are no longer our own. He has purchased us by willingly giving His life for ours. Consciously acknowledge that He is with you at all times.
PRAYER: Lord, forgive me for my short comings and sins that I have allowed. I recognize that You died to take the penalty of sin and to free me from their hold. Thank You for that. I willingly yield myself to You, asking You for continued mercy and grace as I conquer these areas that aren’t right. In Jesus’ name, amen.
