Nehemiah 7:74-9:21, I Corinthians 9:1-18, Psalm 33:12-22, Proverbs 21:11-12
“Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, whose people He has chosen as His own. The Lord gazes down upon mankind from heaven where He lives. He has made their hearts and closely watches everything they do. The best equipped army cannot save a king – for great strength is not enough to save anyone. A war horse is a poor risk for winning victories – it is strong, but it cannot save. But the eyes of the Lord are watching over those who fear Him, who rely upon His steady love. He will keep them from death even in times of famine! We depend upon the Lord alone to save us. Only He can help us; He protects us like a shield.” Psalm 33:12-20
In America, we frequently seem to be in some type of turmoil. There is spirit of division and strife that is doing its best to tear us apart. While not every founding father of America was a Christian, they all agreed that the principles found within the Bible were best suited for a free nation. Through the years, secular people have done their best to unravel the original intent of this nation. Globalism threatens to steal her uniqueness and autonomy. Let me clarify. While we are about uniting with other nations for the good, we need the flexibility to remain sovereign and to govern our people in the manner that is best for us. We are, and have been, a blessed nation because the Lord is our God. Even though many don’t believe, those of us who do need to continue to pray and trust God to turn things around. Won’t you join with me today to pray for the God-fearing nations to stand strong and for us to see an international revival.
PRAYER: Father, we all touch and agree today for America and for the other nations who trust in You to remain free and to be guided by Your principles. We ask that You would pour out Your Spirit on all nations and bring a revival that will result in great salvation. Please do not be offended by our great sins, forgive us Lord and help us to walk in righteousness. Reveal the deeds of the wicked and remove them from positions of power. Wake people up so they can see the truth of what is happening and turn to You. May Your blessing and mercy continue to be with us. In Jesus’ name we pray, amen.
