Ezekiel 10:1-11:25, Hebrews 6:1-20, Psalm 105:16-36, Proverbs 27:1-2
“For God is not unfair. How can He forget your hard work for Him, or forget the way you used to show Your love for Him – and still do – by helping His children? And we are anxious that you keep right on loving others as long as life lasts, so that you will get your full reward. Then, knowing what lies ahead for you, you won’t become bored with being a Christian nor become spiritually dull and indifferent, but you will be anxious to follow the example of those who receive all that God has promised them because of their strong faith and patience.” Hebrews 6:10-12
It is imperative that we view our current life in light of our ultimate life with God. The thought of being fully in His presence, being clothed in a body that doesn’t hunger, break down or desire things that aren’t healthy, and living in such a peaceful place full of love with no danger are just a few things we can hold on to while here. I say this because “here” can be a challenge. For one thing, there is an initial excitement with salvation but after a period of time, we will all go through different stages. Being in relationship with God isn’t much different from getting married. There will be many phases of growth and they aren’t all exciting or pleasant. So, let me encourage you in those times to keep your eyes on the prize!
PRAYER: Lord, I ask You to keep my heart tender toward You. I never want to stray. I yield myself to You Holy Spirit and pray You will continue to lead and guide me till the end of my journey here. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
