Miracle Moment

Ezekiel 14:12-16:41, Hebrews 7:18-28, Psalm 106:1-12, Proverbs 27:4-6

“Better open rebuke than hidden love. Wounds from a friend are received as well-meant, but an enemy’s kisses are insincere.” Proverbs 27:5-6

Maybe not everyone can do this, but those in our inner circle need the right to speak into our lives. We all have a spot in the center of our back we cannot see. A friend will tell us what is in the blind spot. Confrontation is difficult but necessary. Sometimes we just don’t get it without being hit between the eyes with truth. Although it may hurt, if done in love without condemnation, the person receiving the correction will see the heart behind the rebuke as an act of love.

PRAYER: Lord, help me to be bold enough to confront detrimental things in the lives of those around me. Let my timing be on point and help me to approach the conversation right so they will know I am genuine in reaching out to them. Also, if I am ever the recipient of correction help me to be open, to search myself and to seek You for help in change. Please don’t let me get angry at the messenger. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
