Ezekiel 12:1-14:11, Hebrews 7:1-17, Psalm 105:37-45, Proverbs 27:3
“He spread out a cloud above them to shield them from the burning sun and gave them a pillar of flame at night to give them light. They asked for meat, and He sent them quail and gave them manna – bread from heaven. He opened up a rock, and water gushed out to form a river through the dry and barren land; for He remembered His sacred promises to Abraham His servant. So, He brought His chosen ones singing into the Promised Land.” Psalm 105:39-43
God knows how to take care of what is His. He even got it down to providing a cloud as sunscreen. Wha! He made promises to Abraham, who is said to be the father of those who trust God. If we know God, we can call on Him for those promises as well. Honestly, if we know the Lord, according to Matthew 6:33, all we need to do is seek out that relationship with Him, become familiar with His kingdom and then everything will fall into place. We don’t really have to demand God to fulfill His promises, He is more than willing to bless those who love Him and want to know His heart.
PRAYER: Lord, gently teach me to know You and what is pleasing in Your sight. When You think of me, I want You to look on me with great love. Overlook my shortcomings precious Lord. Let me find continued mercy and favor in Your sight. I thank You for the wonderful way You have always loved and taken care of me and mine. My heart is full of gratitude that You have fulfilled Your promises in my life, even before I knew there were promises to be had. Love You Jesus, amen.
