“Pretty words may hide a wicked heart, just as a pretty glaze covers a common clay pot.” Proverbs 26:23
My grandmother used to say, “Pretty is, as pretty does.” Don’t be given to someone who speaks well or flatters, look at their actions. You may just find they’re only glazed over really well.
PRAYER: Lord, give me discernment. Help me to see deeper than smooth words. Keep me from deception. In Jesus’ name, amen.
