Jeremiah 51:1-53, Titus 2:1-15, Psalm 99:1-9, Proverbs 26:17
“For the free gift of eternal salvation is now being offered to everyone; and along with this gift comes the realization that God wants us to turn from godless living and sinful pleasures and to live good, God-fearing lives day after day, looking forward to that wonderful time we’ve been expecting, when His glory shall be seen – the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ. He died under God’s judgment against our sins so that He could rescue us from constant falling into sin and make us His very own people, with cleansed hearts and real enthusiasm for doing kind things for others.” Titus 2:11-14
Are you struggling with living for God? Why? Think about it. What draw of the world is hooking you? Jesus took the penalty for our sin and covered us so that we could walk in an innocence that we had not known since childhood (or Adam and Eve for sure!). Don’t be deceived and trade that virtue for a return to guilt and shame. Follow God’s lead as He helps you to move away from things that are damaging. He has given us power to prevent us from being overtaken with the sin. You are different, you are changed; live that change.
PRAYER: Lord, reveal my actions and desires that are inappropriate for my new life. Change anything that I am struggling with so that I am not drawn to it any more. I love and appreciate You so much and I know that You will see me through to the end. In Jesus’ name I pray.
