“Alexander the coppersmith has done me much harm. The Lord will punish him, but be careful of him, for he fought against everything we said. The first time I was brought before the judge, no one was here to help me. Everyone had run away. I hope that they will not be blamed for it. But the Lord stood with me and gave me the opportunity to boldly preach a whole sermon for all the world to hear. And He saved me from being thrown to the lions.” II Timothy 4:14-17
Wow. I wonder if all that occurred before breakfast? There’s no doubt the apostle Paul experienced some serious hardships but he managed to keep his perspective. After all that happened, he was excited to have the opportunity to preach that sermon he had been working on while incarcerated! Honestly, I do appreciate how Paul knew Jesus Christ, not believed in Him, knew Him. There’s a difference you know. In knowing Christ, He was so excited to share Him with everyone. He wanted all people to experience Jesus the way He had and to walk with Him here and to spend eternity with Him after this life. He totally trusted the Lord with His life.
PRAYER: Lord, thank You for my path. I know You are leading me and anything that occurs has already been filtered through Your hands, the betrayals, the antagonists, the sufferings. I am comforted by knowing Your heart. You alone are faithful. In Jesus’ name, amen.
