Jeremiah 42:1-44:23, II Timothy 2:1-21, Psalm 92:1-93:5, Proverbs 26:3-5
“I am more than willing to suffer if that will bring salvation and eternal glory in Christ Jesus to those God has chosen.” II Timothy 2:10
Okay, this is a big boy/girl message. You got your pull ups on? Guess what? God never promised us a rose garden. At this writing the apostle Paul is incarcerated. There will be times in life when struggle and pain will occur. Through those times people will be watching us and the occasion will be there to witness for Christ. As they see us handle our “prison time” with grace, their hearts will be touched for salvation. Sometimes the “prison time” is the only opportunity we will have to make a difference in the lives of some people; it will be the only time our paths may cross. Are we willing to suffer for Christ if need be? Are we willing to be laid bare for souls?
PRAYER: Lord, I trust in You completely. Whatever may arise in life I am confident You will give me the strength to endure. Please help me to always look beyond the situation to find You in the background so that I can know there is purpose. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
