Isaiah 12:1-14:32; II Corinthians 13:1-14; Psalm 57:1-11; Proverbs 23:9-11
“Be merciful unto me, O God be merciful unto me, for my soul trust in you. Yea, in the shadow of your wings will one make refuge until these calamities be over past. I will cry unto the most high, unto God that performs all things for me. He shall send heaven and save me from the reproach of him that would swallow me up. God shall send forth His mercy and His truth.” (Psalm 57:1-3)
I don’t know what you are up against. I don’t know what you are facing. One thing I do know, that if we will trust God and look only to Him then He will send His mercy and grace from heaven. He will cover and protect us under His wings and make a refuge so that we will be protected and safe. At this time David is running from Saul. The odds are against him as Saul is king and has a kingdom, influence and an army. Yet because David is a man after God’s own heart and loves God more than anything in the world, He supernaturally delivers David from Saul. God sees to it that David is personally safe and not only that, He gives David Saul’s kingdom. David becomes king of Israel and Judea. David trusted and praised his way through the hard times.
Like I said, I don’t know what you are facing or who your enemies are or the traps and plans they have to take you out. But I do know God and if you will keep your eyes and your heart fixed on Him and Him alone, He will send help from heaven, and everything will work itself out. This storm will pass over, as they all do. God is your refuge and your protector. Everything is going to be alright.
PRAYER:
God I am placing my eyes on You. I’m taking my heart and setting it only on You. God I trust You and Your Word that says, “I will cry unto God Most High who performs all things for me. He will send from heaven and save me.” Thanks, Lord, for all you do for me and my family. I love You and trust You with all my heart. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
