Jeremiah 1:1-2:30, Philippians 4:1-23, Psalm 75:1-10, Proverbs 24:17-20
“At the moment I have all I need – more than I need! I am generously supplied with the gifts you sent me when Epaphroditus came. They are a sweet-smelling sacrifice that pleases God well. And it is He who will supply all your needs from His riches in glory because of what Christ Jesus has done for us. Now unto God our Father be glory forever and ever. Amen.” Philippians 4:18-20
Paul isn’t being overly spiritual or flighty in His claim that God will provide. He was talking about tangible provision – not be warmed, be filled. As we read in the chapter, the Philippians provided financial support to Paul which provided for his physical needs. In this same way, he was encouraging the Philippians that it is God who will provide for them just like He had touched their hearts to send money to Paul. That’s why it is so important for us to be in tune with Holy Spirit. We may be the person He uses to meet the need of another or vice-versa.
PRAYER: Father, teach me how to follow Your lead so that I can be in the right place, at the right time, to fulfill the right purpose. Help me to be a blessing and when my time of need is at hand, help me to trust that You will be there for me, somehow or another. Thank You in advance. Amen.
