Isaiah 51:1-53:12; Ephesians 5:1-33; Psalm 69:19:36; Proverbs 24:7

“Listen to Me, you who pursue righteousness, you who seek the Lord: Look to the rock from which you were cut, and to the quarry from which you were dug. Look to Abraham your father, and to Sarah who gave birth to you in pain. When I called him, he was only one; I blessed him and made him many…Listen to Me, you who know righteousness, the people in whose heart is My instruction; do not fear disgrace by men, and do not be shattered by their taunts.” (Isaiah 51:1-2, 7)

“Wake up, wake up! Put on the strength of the Lord’s power…And the ransomed of the Lord will return and come to Zion with singing, crowned with unending joy. Joy and gladness will overtake them and sorrow and sighing will flee. I – I am the One who comforts you. Who are you that you should fear man who dies, or a son of man who is given up like grass?” (51:9, 11-12)

“You are in constant dread all day long because of the fury of the oppressor, who has set himself to destroy. But where is the fury of the oppressor? ..For I am the Lord your God….I have put My words in your mouth and covered you in the shadow of My hand, in order to plant the heavens, to found the earth, and to say to Zion, ‘You are My people.” (51:13b, 15, 16)

“For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ … Therefore encourage one another and build each other up as you are already doing…And we exhort you, brothers: warn those who are lazy, comfort the discouraged, help the weak, be patient with everyone. See to it that no one repays evil for evil to anyone, but always pursue what is good for one another and for all. Rejoice always! Pray constantly. Give thanks in everything, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” (I Thessalonians 5:9, 11, 14-18)

No matter what we walk through in life we can’t allow ourselves to be sucked out with the tide. We must remember who we are: Warriors of God, full of the Holy Spirit and blessed with divine favor. Knowing these things will enable us to walk in a more supernatural realm. The more carnal we are, the more we’ll be afraid of situations and people of the world. God doesn’t want us to live in that sort of mentality, confused and bound by fear.

Fear cancels out our faith. The two will never be in harmony. Perfect love casts out fear. (I John 4:18) God’s purpose is for us to proclaim His character and kingdom throughout this world. Whatever we may walk through will only propel us further into this call. God says that we are to rejoice always, pray constantly and stay in an attitude of thanksgiving because this is HIS will for our lives.

PRAYER:

Lord, I pray for a deeper revelation of Your Word. I want to know You inside and out. You alone are my Warrior King, my Hero. My heart does safely trust in You. I know that without Your permission nothing can get to me and anything that does break through is because You allowed it and have confidence in my ability to stand faithful. I break the spirits of fear, doubt and discouragement. I surrender to You Father, praying for Your divine will to be executed in my life. I give You glory Lord. In the name of Jesus I pray, amen.
