II Kings 15:1-16:20, Acts 19:13-41, Psalm 147:1-20, Proverbs 18:4-5
“A team of itinerant Jews who were traveling town to town casting out demons planned to experiment by using the name of the Lord Jesus. The incantation they decided on was this: ‘I adjure you by Jesus, whom Paul preaches, to come out!’ Seven sons of Sceva, a Jewish priest, were doing this. But when they tried it on a man possessed by a demon, the demon replied, ‘I know Jesus and I know Paul, but who are you?’ And he leaped on two of them and beat them up, so that they fled out of his house naked and badly injured.” Acts 19:13-16
Believe this, the spiritual realm knows what’s going on. There’s a whole atmosphere, a dimension, that is very active all around us. We might be able to play like we got some kind of spirituality for folks who don’t know any better, but if we are ever confronted by true evil, the truth will be laid bare. You go messing with the spiritual realm you better come at it with the Jesus you know. No one can lean on someone else’s relationship with God to get them by. I encourage you to know Jesus for yourself.
PRAYER: Jesus, I receive You into my heart. I confess that You are Lord and all power resides in You. I ask You to forgive me of my sins and change my heart and any bad desires I may have. I need the power of Your presence in my life. Save me, sanctify me, use me for Your glory. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.
