Nehemiah 5:14-7:73a; I Corinthians 8:1-13; Psalm 33:1-11; Proverbs 21:8-10

“The Lord frustrates the counsel of the nations; He thwarts the plans of the peoples. The counsel of the Lord stands forever, the plans of His heart from generation to generation.” (Psalm 33:10-11)

The Lord’s plan has never changed since the Garden of Eden. He will ultimately bring things back around to that place or state of being. Despite all of the shortcomings and failures of human beings, we are still the epitome of God’s creation, and He enjoys us. He set Adam and Eve in place and the ball started rolling. Did God design them to sin? No, but the option was available. Why did God allow that option if it was going to cause so much trouble? The answer is simply this, He desires for people to choose. If I am a robot, I have no choice, I do as I am programmed. If I am in a relationship with you and you have to beat me all of the time to stay, then it’s not much of a relationship. If I am there because I want to be then we have something to build on, it’s real not forced. Some may say, “Oh great, serve God or go to Hell. What kind of choice is that?” Well, it’s a choice. God is the Potter and we are the clay. He created us, it’s His show, so to speak. We should be nothing but grateful for the opportunity to live and to know Him.

Before it’s all over with, sin will be rooted out and annihilated and only those that want to live for God and with God will remain. In His kingdom there will be peace and joy. The lion will lay down with the lamb. There won’t be any drive-by shootings, family dysfunction, religion, no gender confusion, no perversity, no famine or lack. We can’t even begin to imagine how wonderful it will be (except for those who thrive on chaos, they probably wouldn’t like it).

God is so incredible and fun. He gave us colors to keep the world from looking so bland. He gave us taste buds that serve no other purpose except to bring pleasure to the eater. He gave us the ability to hear in range so that everything is not monotone. He gave us science so we could marvel at the brilliance of His creations and systems of operation. The greatest things you could ever think of, God gave to us either directly or through bestowed knowledge. Yes, God will confound the nations until everything falls into place to bring us back to the beginning. There will be wars and famines and destruction in this current state. God uses all things to make Himself known. I heard John Bevere say that God’s greatest concern is not our comfort but redemption of the human soul. God never flippantly inflicts pain or conflict. Everything has purpose and it usually comes about because people have a tendency to block out His first efforts. Sometimes pain is the only thing that will speak to a hard headed human being. Even then some will reject the lesson and curse God.

“Happy is the nation whose God is the Lord – the people he has chosen to be His own possession! The Lord looks down from heaven; He observes everyone. He gazes on all the inhabitants of the earth from his dwelling place. He alone crafts their hearts; He considers all their works. A king is not saved by a large army; a warrior will not be delivered by great strength. The horse is a false hope for safety; it provides no escape by its great power. Now the eye of the Lord is on those who fear Him – those who depend on His faithful love to deliver them from death and to keep them alive in famine. We wait for the Lord; He is our help and shield. For our hearts rejoice in him, because we trust in His holy name. May Your faithful love rest on us, Lord, for we put our hope in You.” (V12-22)

PRAYER:

Lord, You know the thoughts and intents of my heart. You manipulate circumstances to Your advantage to bring about salvation in Your people. Thank You so much for touching me and allowing me to have part in Your kingdom. I am eternally grateful and pray to represent You properly. Forgive me of any sins or presumptions that I may have. Show me how to overcome them, deliver me Lord. I pray for the salvation and discipleship of souls. Help us in Your Body to follow Your lead. I love You Holy Spirit and thank You so much for keeping me. Have a wonderful day Lord, I pray that it will be profitable for Your kingdom. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

Pastor Ricky and Jeannie Sinclair

From Ricky’s book, Miracle-at-Large, Ricky became an evangelist spreading the word of God through his testimony. He was a fire. He would go in, light it up and encourage people in the places he shared his testimony. When you’re an evangelist, you breeze in and breeze out, and you don’t have to worry about hurting anyone. But that was the start of the ministry. His evangelism was birthed from the book that came out, which gave him a platform. People started following us and we gave them resources and suggested churches to get plugged into. However, we developed a following of people that would not go anywhere else but honestly, it was not in our heart to start a physical church.

With us not wanting to turn people away, we started meeting together as a prayer group and started having a little teaching within the prayer group. But then, we were bursting out of our living room. Our house could squeeze 30 to 60 people in it butt here was not much you can do in it anymore with people wall-to-wall. We had John Mayers and his wife leading worship through singing and playing a guitar. We had all the elements for church, which led to people pressing us to start a church and they wouldn’t go anywhere else. With us growing but not ready for a church, we had to look into bigger spaces and started with one conference room in a hotel. However, we eventually consumed every conference room in the hotel as we continued to grow.

As we grew, we saw a lot of gifts and opportunities. As a result, we wanted to start a physical church where everybody was included and invited. Even if they seemed like they didn’t fit into a“traditional church”, they would be accepted at our church. I sought God and God spoke to my heart and said, “I want you to start a church and I’m going to send everybody that is like you to the church. You will have a church and they’ll be other churches, too. There will be people that I send to those churches, but you will become your own individual church with the people that I’m creating and building for your church.” That’s how we became our own identity and individual church with our own personality that God established because God put this in Ricky’s heart. Everyone from various backgrounds would be welcomed as family and they would have a place for them to go to church in a family… MiraclePlace Church.

Here we are still standing today with the same message from 2001: Everyone from various backgrounds are welcomed as family and this is a place for you to actually go to church in a family… Miracle Place Church in Baker, LA. Come as you are, You Belong Here!
