| Joshua 24:1-33; Luke 21:1-28; Psalm 89:38-52; Proverbs 13:20-23
Joshua is 110 years old and is holding his final meeting with Israel before he dies. He gives Israel’s history starting with Abraham’s father Terah and God’s vision to bring a people out of darkness to serve Him, the true and living God. Paraphrased, God says, “I took Abraham out from his family who was serving other gods and multiplied his seed in Canaan. I gave Isaac seed. I gave Esau Mount Seir and took Jacob into Egypt. I sent Moses and Aaron to Egypt, and I plagued Egypt and afterward I brought them out. At the Red Sea, I delivered them and drowned the Egyptian army when they cried unto Me. Their eyes saw My power and how I was with them every step of their lives. I brought them into the Promised Land that flowed with milk and honey and gave them land and riches and a great life.” Joshua stands up and says, “Choose you this day whom you will serve but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” (Joshua 24:15)
Think about your life and all that you have come through. I hope you will say with me and Joshua, “Lord, you have been good to me and if it had not been for You, I would not have made it. God as far as me and my house we will serve the Lord.”
PRAYER:
Lord, thanks for the gift of life You have given me. I will live every day to bring glory and honor to You. Every second, Lord, I choose to walk with You. God I am sold out to You 100% loving and serving You. Thanks for everything Lord. I bless You Father in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen. |
