| II Chronicles 8:11-10:19, Romans 8:9-25, Psalm 18:16-36, Proverbs 19:26
“For we know that even the things of nature, like animals and plants, suffer in sickness and death as they await this great event. And even we Christians, although we have the Holy Spirit within us as a foretaste of future glory, also groan to be released from pain and suffering. We, too, wait anxiously for that day when God will give us our full rights as His children, including the new bodies He has promised us – bodies that will never be sick again and will never die. We are saved by trusting. And trusting means looking forward to something we don’t yet have – for a man who already has something doesn’t need to hope and trust that he will get it.” Romans 8:22-24
Keep your eyes on the author and finisher of your faith. Don’t let struggles in this world distract you from the day when this world wraps up and we will be home with our God residing in our new bodies! This life can be so sad, so difficult, so painful, I am actually excited for the time that I get to cross over. What a great time that will be. Can’t you just see being free from the limitations of this body?! At the appointed time our new and improved bodies will unite with our spirits and BAM! New day, new world, new body. All I’m saying is don’t allow yourself to get discouraged here, this place is a temporary state of being for us. Enjoy your time, do your call and stay in faith; everything is going to be alright.
PRAYER: Lord, when I look to this temporary world for permanency and stability it shakes me because I’m looking for something it can never provide. I’m choosing today not only to trust You for my salvation, but also for this life and the one to come. I have faith, I know You always win the battle. My heart and life are Yours, lead me. In Jesus’ name I pray.
