| Numbers 36:1-Deuteronomy 1:46; Luke 5:29-6:11; Psalm 66:1-20; Proverbs 11:24-26
“For You, God, tested us, You refined us as silver is refined. You lured us into a trap; You placed burdens on our backs. You let men ride over our heads; we went through fire and water, but You brought us out to abundance.” (Psalm 66:10-12)
“Come and listen, all who fear God, and I will tell what He has done for me.” (Psalm 66:16)
Let me testify for just a moment. I’ve seen plenty hard times in my life and had to deal with many people who weren’t too kind. Some events were direct set-ups orchestrated by God, some were forced upon me by sin sick individuals, and some were a result of my own decisions. Regardless, the Lord has used every single thing in my life to make me the person I am today and to bring me to this place in life, a place of abundance.
By abundance, I don’t necessarily mean monetary, I mean, I am in a great place because I am knowing Him more than I ever have. And knowing God is the epitome of success and abundance. God is full of purpose, so relax, walk through your difficulties but never forget the lessons.
PRAYER:
Lord, my steps are undoubtedly ordered by You, the good, the bad and the ugly. I trust You through it all. I know You are able to raise me up and I am counting on it. Keep me still during the refining process so that I don’t miss a thing. Help me to be gracious toward those who You are using to provoke me, to use me, to expose me, because I know they are just part of my character development. In the name of Jesus I pray. Amen. |
