“Truly my soul waits upon God, from Him comes my salvation.” (Psalm 62:1)
King David had enemies who were always trying to dethrone him from his kingship. Maybe you can identify with him. Maybe you have people who are jealous of you and are always looking for ways to attack you? Or for whatever reason they simply don’t like you or understand you. As a result, they come against you.
Here is what King David teaches us: 1) God is my salvation 2) my rock 3) my defense 4) my expectation 5) my glory 6) my strength and 7) my refuge. King David learned to trust God at all times and to pour his heart out to Him. I have great news for you. No matter who is attacking you or what you are up against, if God be for you, who can be against you!
PRAYER:
Lord, just as David trusted and looked to You for protection, so do I. I believe You are my salvation. I believe You are my rock, my defense, my expectation, my glory, my strength and my refuge. In You Lord I am safe, and I give You all glory, honor and praise. It’s in Your name that I pray. Amen. |
