| Leviticus 7:28-9:6; Psalm 37:12-29; Proverbs 10:5; Mark 3:31-4:25
“A man’s steps are established by the Lord, and He takes pleasure in his way. Though he falls, he will not be overwhelmed, because the Lord holds his hand. I have been young and now I am old, yet I have not seen the righteous abandoned or his children begging bread. He is always generous, always lending, and his children are a blessing.” (Psalm 37:23-26)
They say hindsight is 20/20 and as I look back over my life, I can truly say that God is faithful. I can’t understand why we walk through some of the things we go through in life, but I can attest that God does indeed order the steps of those who are His. Thank God His structure for our lives and His faithfulness are not dependent on our perfection. “Though he falls,” stated as a fact, reveals God’s heart to restore the broken. He knows the weakness of our flesh, but He doesn’t throw us away. Instead, the Word reads that the Lord holds our hand. Doesn’t that just make you want to do your best for Him?
God can be trusted. We have to remember that like Job, everything in our lives is filtered through our Father’s hands. If He brought us to it, He’ll see us through it! I’ve walked through a lot of hardship in life and had many good times as well and I can honestly say, when looking back over my life and the lives of others, that God has always had a master plan. So relax and have confidence in Him, because I’ve never seen the righteous forsaken or His seed begging bread. Yes indeed! In the end, God will do you good.
PRAYER:
Strengthen my faith Lord to know that all I endure in life has purpose. Help me to see You in all things and to know it will all come out in the wash and be right as rain. I love You and I surrender my life to You. You are a good, good God and I appreciate and bless You. In the name of Jesus I pray, amen. |
