| Malachi 1:1-2:17, Revelation 21:1-27, Psalm 149:1-9, Proverbs 31:10-24
“I heard a loud shout from the throne saying, ‘Look, the home of God is now among men, and He will live with them and they will be His people; yes, God Himself will be among them. He will wipe away all tears from their eyes, and there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying, nor pain. All of that has gone forever. And the one sitting on the throne said, ‘See, I am making all things new!’ And then He said to me, ‘Write this down, for what I tell you is trustworthy and true: It is finished! I am the A and the Z – the Beginning and the End, I will give to the thirsty the springs of the Water of Life – as a gift! Everyone who conquers will inherit all these blessings, and I will be His God and He will be my son.’” Revelation 21:3-7
Man! I’m shouting too! I get so tired of this corrupt world with all the fighting and factions, it’s hard to know who to trust. People and those in power can be so fickle, they stick their finger in the air to see which way the wind is blowing before they speak. In many circles you can be shut out just for having a differing opinion, not right, not wrong, just different. For the sake of no bullying, we are having the greatest era of bullying by those who don’t agree with you. They say they are for the underdog but that’s only if the underdog falls in line. Craziness! We haven’t even talked about the heartache of disease, death, and crime. But one day, those who trust in Christ are going home – no more tears or brokenness. No more trying to fit in, no more vindictiveness, no more missing the mark. I’m holding out for that day…
PRAYER: Lord, keep my heart in a state of preparedness. I don’t want to fall away from You and miss Your kingdom. There is nothing in this world that can compare with You and all You have waiting for us. I am so excited for that day. Forgive us Lord, for our shortcomings and anything that displeases You. Cover us in Christ and let that be all You see. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen. |
