| Zechariah 4:1-5:11, Revelation 14:1-20, Psalm 142:1-7, Proverbs 30:21-23
“Then he said, ‘This is God’s message to Zerubbabel: “Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit, says the Lord Almighty – you will succeed because of My Spirit, though you are few and weak.” Therefore no mountain, however high, can stand before Zerubbabel! For it will flatten out before him! And Zerubbabel will finish building this Temple with mighty shouts of thanksgiving for God’s mercy, declaring that all was done by grace alone.’” Zechariah 4:6-7
Lord I am shouting with thanksgiving even as I sit here writing this! Many times I feel so small and insignificant, unable to move a single mountain. Yet here You say I don’t even have to depend on my strength or abilities because it’s all about You and Your power. My eyes, and my reliance, are totally on You.
PRAYER: Father, thank You for such a timely word. It relieves the pressure I feel when I know that You are doing all of the heavy lifting. Help me to be faithful and obedient to the little You call me to. Teach me to hear Your voice and to follow after You. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen. |
